Thanks for coming. I hope you enjoyed the format of the event, which was dictated by the need to keep the best orienteers busy for 45 minutes in the confined space of Chalkney Wood. I overestimated the best performance and the event might have been improved by being one hour long or there being a few more controls. In what has become a tradition of the New Year's Day Event, some of you ignored the instructions anyhow.
