Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Saturday 23rd March 2019
There will be no charge to members for the coaching session, which will use the Permanent Orienteering Course.
Transport will be arranged from Brentwood station for Juniors.
|Ride the Orbit!||
Club members and juniors are also invited to take a ride on the ArcelorMittal Orbit afterwards.
This wonderful idea was suggested by our club junior, Joshua Elsworth (Brentwood School), to celebrate his Jack Petchey Achievement Award.
There is limited funding for and therefore limited places to ride the orbit so you must book your place in advance. First come first served.
You can visit the Orbit and ride the slide or just ride the lift if you prefer! There are amazing views across London.
You will slide at speeds of up to 15 miles an hour down 178m of tunnel slide. As The Slide twists and turns around the ArcelorMittal Orbit you will travel in changing directions through light and darkness. http://arcelormittalorbit.com/visit/experience/.
To Ride The Slide YOU MUST...
be at least 1.3m in height
be at least eight (8) years of age
weigh under 130kg (22 stone).
