Summer Series, event No. 1
Wednesday 29 May 2019
As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations Essex Stragglers return to the Hedinghams, the venue of one of our very first events almost 50 years ago. There's an interesting mix of complex little alleyways in the medieval village centre, modern housing estates, open areas and country paths. There is plenty of route choice.
All welcome. Guidance for beginners available.
The shortest route will be a little longer.
A mixture of street orienteering and country trails. The long course visits both villages.
Both courses will cross the main A1017 with regular traffic flow although the speed limit is 30mph.
The controls will be fire hydrant signs (Yellow with a large ‘H’). You will be asked to record the number in the bottom half of the sign. Please bring a pen or pencil.
