As juniors progress they can earn awards such as BSOA - Explorer Challenge which is aimed at beginners and Colour Coded Badges.

To qualify for a Colour Coded Badge you need to complete three colour coded courses within par. (either the winner’s time plus 50% or in the top 50% of the competitors, whichever is lower). For White courses, all competitors who successfully complete the course unaided are eligible, irrespective of time taken.

Essex Stragglers participate in the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme, which recognises outstanding young people across Essex. Club juniors nominate their team-mates for the award. Each award winner receives a certificate & pin badge & choose how to spend a £250 grant to benefit juniors within the club. All award winners are invited to attend a fun ceremony to be presented with a medallion in front of their families, friends and VIPs. Achievement Awards | Jack Petchey Foundation
