Yvette Baker Trophy & ShieldSOS Juniors through to national final

Congratulations to SOS Juniors on winning the East Anglia qualifying heat of the Yvette Baker Shield competition. As a small club our juniors compete for the shield. This time they were only up against Suffolk with Norfolk and WAOC competing in the Trophy. The whole team performed brilliantly. The scorers were Oliver, Joshua, Amelie, Lulu and Abigail. Scoring 499 points out of a possible 500.
We wish them well in the national final in Sheffield on 9th July.

SOS-HAVOC Midweek Event 5 Braintree/BockingEVENT POSTPONED
This afternoon, Colin and I walked part of the courses for tomorrow evening. The roads and paths were extremely slushy. Given the predicted overnight temperatures, we envisage that the slush will freeze. While there may be some thawing during the day tomorrow, temperatures are again predicted to be below freezing tomorrow evening. We feel that we have no option but to cancel tomorrow evening's event on safety grounds.
The current plan is to reschedule the event to January. Watch this space!
