Coordinators Report for the SOS/HAVOC Summer Series 2021
The Summer Series came to a conclusion with John Collyer’s event at Sudbury. An interesting varied course across the Meadows and through the town with lots of route choice. The light just about held and the rain kept off. So, with so many contenders for the league title in the Long and the Short course the race was on.
On the Short course David Game steamed home 47 seconds ahead of Melanie & Virginia to clinch the league by just 2 points from Colin Jackson, with Melanie Sirett, John Collyer and Veronica Machin close behind.
On the Long course an amazing time by Allen Smalls holding off Gary Chandler and Stephen Borrill. Allen thus secured the league but with David Float, Gary Chandler and others not far behind.
I think the series was enjoyed by all those who took part, and so well done to all, and on their behalf my sincere thanks to all those who organised an event.
By popular demand SOS and HAVOC are going to set up a joint Winter Series starting in November. I will therefore soon be circulating details and seeking volunteers.

SOS Mid-Week Summer-Autumn League
The event will form part of HAVOC/SOS Mid-Week O’ League. Points will be awarded based on finishing times adjusted
using an age/gender handicap system. Each missed or incorrect control will incur a 5 minutes penalty.
Best 3 results from the series will count.
Full results will be emailed and published on the SOS and HAVOC websites.
