Organiser’s Comments
Thank you all for turning out on a cold and wet November evening for the first in the winter series of mid-week events.

Apologies for the vandalised postbox on the long course. Well done to those of you who read the missing plate through the flap, all correctly! I would have liked to give you bonus points. I was generous in the awarding of penalties and so nobody was penalised even the person who didn’t read the instructions (and wrote top numbers for hydrants and posting times for postboxes). On occasions there was a hydrant and a postbox in the control circle and I allowed both. And as has become a bit of a habit, apologies for the circle in the wrong place. How I carefully placed it on the wrong corner I don’t know.

Alan recorded the fastest time on Long course with Lynn and Melissa first women home. On the Short honours went to Julian, Melanie and Virginia.

The landlord of The Flyer made us very welcome and it was good to see many of you socializing afterwards.

SOS Mid-Week Winter 2021/22 League
The event will form part of HAVOC/SOS Mid-Week O’ League. Points will be awarded based on finishing times adjusted
using an age/gender handicap system. Each missed or incorrect control will incur a 5 minutes penalty.
Best 6 results from the series will count.
50 bonus points added for undertaking any one of the SOS/HAVOC MapRuns during the course of the series - just confirm run to the Coordinator.
Full results will be emailed and published on the SOS and HAVOC websites.
