Rayne 2025Anytime Orienteering
Type of course: Virtual Terrain type: Urban & Parkland
Overview
There are two line courses available at Rayne - the short course 3.5km direct distance between the 11 controls and the long Course 6.3km direct distance between the 19 controls, note the optimum routes approx. 5km and 9km.
PLEASE NOTE that the maps are designed to be printed on A3 paper - so the scale of 1:4000 applies to A3, if you print on A4 then the map will
be smaller.
ALSO NOTE - when running the Short course - take care near the end of the course to NOT run too near the Finish control when crossing the
playing field (otherwise you will trigger the finish too early).
Controls are fire hydrants on the streets and just your Maprun 'ping' out in the coutryside.
The course is along public roads and footpaths, both courses will need to cross roads, so please take care. When crossing farmyards or fields you must keep to the designated footpaths.
The Start and finish is near the play equipment in Oak Meadow.
