New Year Novelty

Local level event

Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Terrain type: Urban & Parkland

Firstly, thank you to everyone who helped me set up the New Year’s Day Novelty. As with organising any event one relies heavily on help from others and I could not have managed without support. Congratulations to the 5 people who ‘bagged’ all 24 control sites correctly.

There were many more runners not listed who accompanied those shown in the results. It was lovely to see so many children.

Thank you to everyone who took part and for the comments I received. After all the wet weather it was a blessing to have a dry day!
