East Anglian Orienteering ChampionsSix Stragglers crowned EA Champions
The East Anglian Orienteering Championships were held at Bromehill near Brandon on November 27th. The Stragglers contingent produced six champions across the age range from Abigail Prince in W14 to John Russell in M80+

The event was organised by WAOC. The weather kept dry although the undergrowth was damp following overnight rain. The forest was still full of autumn colour making it a pleasure to be in the forest. Chris Sellens had the fastest time of the day on the brown course to take M35 crown beating the Open M21 champion. John Collyer and Geraldine Russell both retained their titles in M&W75. Colin West in M65 missed out by 5 seconds on retaining his crown. Another near miss was Eddie Banks in M70 who was beaten by 16 seconds. John Russell was a convincing winner beating the defending champion in M80+ by 9 minutes. Abigail was also a clear winner in W14. Well done to them all.
