Schools Days 2022Colchester, Harwich & Great Notley

Our Schools Days are always popular with local schools and a great way to promote our sport. This year they took place on 24th May at Castle Park, Colchester, Thursday 26th May at Cliff Park, Harwich & Monday 27th June at Notley Country Park.

Our three schools Days were a great hit with local children. On the day our club volunteers provide an introduction to orienteering with an instruction session using games and activities, followed by a Score course around the park.

Children from Years 5 & 6 from local primary schools are invited to take part in the sessions. Cliff Park was a new venue and it was wonderful to be able to bring orienteering to children in the Tendring District with help from the Essex Local Delivery Pilot funded by Active Essex.

430 children from 12 schools took part in Castle Park
