SOS Juniors On Tour 2022Lakes Weekend

Essex Stragglers Juniors enjoyed an action packed weekend away in the Lakes learning all about Contours, Crags and Boulders as well as having lots of fun!

SOS Juniors travelled to the Lakes on Friday 22nd April for a weekend of orienteering, fun and games, staying in a lodge at the Great Tower Scout Adventure Centre. Saturday was packed with training sessions getting to know the terrain at Great Tower Woods. They experienced features never seen in Essex! In between the orienteering sessions they got to have a go at other activities including Bouldering and Tomahawk Throwing. The day finished with a Twilight Night-O team Relay around the site. It was a great way for the Juniors to get to know each other and have some fun as well as learning new orienteering skills. On the Sunday they took part in the Lakeland OC event on Loughrigg Fell.
