Local level event

Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Organiser's/Planner's Report

Thanks to everyone who turned out on such a cold night. I was keen to use this part of Maldon as it had not been used before.

A number of people commented on the tricky nature of running through the southern estate while knowing where you were on the map. I tried to keep it interesting and all your comments were favourable.

I think I should apologise for the length of the Long course, longer than I would have ideally liked but I was concerned that the middle section was a bit 'pedestrian', so I needed to go to the High Street

to maximise the interest.

I took photographs of all the hydrant signs, so I was able to resolve a couple of errors and satisfy myself that they had been visited. Which just left two wrong and two missing. Not bad. Well done everybody. Looking forward to warmer climes in Brentwood and South Woodham!
