Mike Powell Davies Shield Awarded

At the recent Summer Midweek Series event at Great Notley, Club Chairman, Eddie Banks presented the Mike Powell Davies Shield for 2024 to Chris Childs. The Shield is awarded annually for services to the Club.

Chris Child retired as Secretary of Essex Stragglers at the AGM in October after many years in the role. Chris has also acted as co-ordinator of the mid week series' events for an equally long period. He has overseen the building the midweek events from small beginnings to the successful events they are today. A thoroughly deserving recipient. Chris expressed his thanks to the club for honouring him.
