Lyn West topped the podium in W70 class at Bukowa Cup at the beginning of May

The Bukowa Cup took place based on Szczecin in Poland. Colin and Lyn West travelled with a number of British Trail O orienteers for 4 days of competition with 10 events.
The events took place in the forest to south of Szczecin with complex contours and steep climbs. A middle distance on first day was followed with a sprint around the old town of Gryfino.
Lyn and Colin discovered they had been entered for the Trail O events as well as Foot O. So rather than hang around waiting for the sprint to start, they decided to try the Pre-O sprint. A fun experience.
Events continued with a Long event on Day 2 followed by a PreO course. Day 3 was a packed day with 2 middle distance events with a PreO in between. A long distance course and a TempO on the final day brought the competition to an end.
Lyn won W70 class and presented with a beautiful medal to reward her efforts.
The least said about the TrailO results the better but there were some good British performances.
